SDG Knowledge Sessions

On the 25th of September 2015, member states of the United Nations adopted a set of goals to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all known as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

There are more youth in the world now than we have ever had in history. Sixty percent of youth live in Asia and the Pacific. Now, more than ever, it is important to include youth as partners in sustainable development. AEN, with the support of ADB Youth for Asia and AIESEC, co-organizes free SDG Knowledge Sessions with educational institutions to mobilize the youth in helping reach the goals.

Sessions are participant-led to allow the learners to come up with practical, everyday actions they can do to help reach the SDGs. The learning event generally aims to:

  1. Introduce the SDGs and provide updates to those who are already familiar with the goals

  2. Allow the participants to discover their roles in the implementation of SDGs

  3. Encourage participants to engage their peers in supporting SDGs
